A little about me...
I graduated with a degree in Education from Grand Valley State University in December 2012. I completed my practicum work with Jason Proctor at Valleywood Middle School in Kentwood, MI and with Pete DeLille at Caledonia High School. I am currently working with students at Lake Michigan Academy in Grand Rapids. I am married to my beautiful wife Sarah and we recently had a beautiful baby girl named Sadie this past May. I enjoy swimming and anything involving nature. Additionally, I am a huge fan of University of Michigan football and try to make it to as many home games as I can.
Being an educator is incredible as I get to work with students on material that naturally inspires conversation, opinions, and goal setting. I love teaching and discussing music because it is so fundamental to our society. Furthermore, I enjoy talking about music history, literature, and world music because we can learn so much about the traditions and culture of a society through musical expression.
